What is Sport2Site?
At Sport2Site, our mission is to bridge the gap between the world of sport and the world of construction by educating young athletes on fulfilling careers beyond the field. We are passionate about breaking the stereotypes surrounding construction-related jobs and showcasing the diverse and rewarding opportunities the industry has to offer.
Construction is far more than just bricks and mortar; it's a dynamic field that requires creativity, teamwork, and leadership. From design and innovation to project management, construction involves skilled professionals who are experts in their respective areas. We believe that the qualities athletes develop—such as problem solving, critical thinking and resilience—are perfectly aligned with the demands of the construction industry.
We understand that for many, becoming a professional athlete is their dream and priority. Our aim isn't to detract from your dream but to educate and inspire you. We want to show that outside of sport, you can thrive and be successful. Construction offers exciting career paths where you can build your future and continue to excel.
How do we help?
Having to choose a career path outside of sport can be challenging. Often, young athletes are uncertain about their future away from the field. This is often because they are unaware of their options and what jobs complement their skill set. At Sport2Site, we're here to help! Our mission is to educate young athletes about careers in the construction industry, education pathways, and how their current skills can be effectively transferred into specific roles within the field. We do this in three ways:

Our Insight Presentation does exactly what it says on the tin—it provides a glimpse into the world of construction. Designed to inform young athletes about the diverse career opportunities within the industry, this presentation helps them identify specific roles they can pursue and demonstrates how their skills can be transferred and utilised beyond the field.
Our Team Workshops are designed to build on Step 1 with a more active approach. The goal is to provide insights into various construction-related jobs in a practical and engaging way. We’ve created interactive learning experiences that allow young athletes to explore different roles within the industry. These workshops not only offer a taste of what the construction field has to offer but also serve as excellent team-building exercises!
Our goal is to develop an online platform that complements the hands-on experiences provided in Steps 1 and 2. "Build My Future" is a dedicated area of our website where young athletes can access additional information on various careers, funding options, and educational pathways in the construction industry. This area also has useful insights from past players that now work in the construction industry.
